Psychosocial Evaluations

Psychosocial evaluations are used to assess social, emotional, and behavioral adjustment, particularly when the cause of a problem or the level of severity is unclear. Evaluations typically consist of interviews, a school visit, standardized testing, and questionnaires. A feedback session is then held with you to discuss the findings and recommendations.

Consultations

Consultation services typically include an initial interview to clarify your concerns and questions and a short-term plan for one or more additional sessions to further answer your questions. Consultations often relate to you or your child's psychological functioning and development, behavior, or education. Common reasons for consultations include concerns about development (e.g., social skills, language), behaviors, attachment, emotional adjustment, and academic performance or school placement.
